Clock Tower & Museum

The 1 st – 3 rd Floors of the bell-cum-clock tower house a museum. One of the University’s valuable kept there is a golden crown used in the Crowning Ceremony of the Mother of Christ at the Seat of Wisdom every 15 August, which is the Assumption Day.

The clock ticks every fifteen minutes and every hour the bell rings a song. It is so designed to ring more than 200 songs. The base of the tower is an enormous flight of steps redolent of the Victor Emmanuel Monument in Rome.

Assumption University takes its responsibility seriously when it comes to protecting its students, its instructors and its facilities. At both Campuses, teams of security staff are at every gate and throughout the Campuses to provide aid, to monitor activities, and to provide for the well-being of everyone on Campus.

First Floor

The first floor serves as a central hall with two connecting rooms: the Martin de Tours room and the Fr. Hilair & John Mary room. Walking through the door into the museum, one will see the golden stone first. The surrounding walls exhibit numerous highly artistic & colorful paintings.

 

 

 

Second Floor

The second floor area exhibits the painting of the Holy Mother. The other two rooms located on this floor are Albert Laurence and St. Leo the Great rooms. Several exotic souvenir items or memorabilia are also displayed here while the walls showcase paintings and photos of the royal family members.

 

 

Third Floor

The third floor accommodates various existing ship & boat miniatures or replicas such as the Royal Thai Navy’s Chakri Naruebet, and a whole range of the royal barks: Garuda , Suphannahong etc. used during the grand royal barks procession as well as the Cyril of Alexandria and Simeon & Louis Philippe Guimont. Paintings of typical local Thai scenes are as well displayed on walls.

Au Golden Rock
“Au” the abbreviation of Assumption University coincides with the chemical term “Aurum”, which means “gold”. Gold has been a symbol of goodness and value for ages.
Sala Jaturatham
The Pavilion of Four Virtues is so named by virtue of being inscribed on its upper part with the words “Prudence; Justice; Fortitude; Temperance.”
Wild Horses
One of AU’s student, Nakorn Kamolsiri, won a gold medal in equestrian sports at the 13th Asian Games in 1998
Sala Chaturamuk Paijit
The Thai Pavilion is for Thai ceremonies and cultural activities. This is the biggest fourpatio Thai pavilion in the world and is indicative of the location of the university in Thailand.
Centenary Monument
Akin to the Columbus statue pointing to America as the newfound land, a scholar pointing to the Cathedral of Learning guides students to the land of knowledge.
St. Louis Marie de Montfort Chapel
St. Louis Marie de Montfort Church was constructed on Jan 15, 2000 at Suvanabhumi campus and completed on April 30, 2002.

St. Mary's Square
Construction of the St. Mary's Square monument at the Bangna campus began on February 1, 2003, and was scheduled for completion on May 30, 2004.
The Crystal Restaurant by Chez Jean Pierre
The Crystal Restaurant by Chez Jean Pierre was constructed at Suvarnabhumi Campus on March 23, 2011 and completed in June 2011.
Indoor Tennis Court
Construction of the tennis court building (Center Court) at the Bangna campus began on February 1, 2004, and was scheduled for completion on February 16, 2005.
Assumption University's Aquatic Center
Construction has begun on an Olympic-standard 50x50 meter swimming pool. Construction commenced in August 2004.
John Paul II Sports Center
Construction of the John Paul II Sports Center gymnasium began in July 2001 and was scheduled for completion on August 25, 2002.

It is a tradition handed down for centuries that Christians venerate the Mother of Christ as "the Seat of Wisdom". (Sedes Sapientiae)

Construction of the Cathedral of Learning building began on July 15, 1994 and was scheduled for completion on February 8, 2000.
St.Luke School of Medicine (SLM)
St.Luke School of Medicine (SLM) Building was constructed at Suvarnabhumi Campus on May 27, 2008 and completed on November 30, 2012.
Labs Building
Labs Building Building was constructed at Suvarnabhumi Campus on May 27, 2008 and completed on November 30, 2012.

Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts Building was constructed at Suvanabhumi campus and completed on September 30, 2008.

Construction of the Communication Arts Studio building began on September 1, 2006, and was scheduled for completion on September 30, 2008.
Monfort Del Rosario School of Architecture and Design (AR)
Montfort Del Rosario School of Architecture and Design Building was constructed in 2005 at Suvanabhumi campus and completed on September 30, 2008.
Cars Park Building
Construction of Car Park Building at the Bangna campus began on March 1, 2003, and was scheduled for completion in March 2004.
President' s House
President’ s House is a three-story European-style building with a tower, used to receive VIP guests and senior clergy of the university. “With the Compliments of Mr.Chaisith Viriyamettakul 2014”

The School of Economics building, sharing the same name as the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, was completed on May 31, 2010. It is an 11-story building comprising a 158-seat mini-theater, a multi-purpose area, offices, faculty offices, and lecture halls.
Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science and Technology (VMES)
